I have worked in vocational and professional performing arts training and higher education for the past ten years, most recently as Head of Online and Course Leader at Italia Conti, alongside my work as a Module Leader and Academic Supervisor at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
My work has involved supporting artists, creatives, performers and educators working professionally across Musical Theatre, Acting, Theatre and the wider performing arts, with a particular focus on professional practice, creative development, academic enquiry and the relationship between education and industry.
A central interest within my work is the concept of the artist-teacher, or dual professionalism: how creative practitioners can sustain meaningful artistic identities alongside their work as educators, and how professional creative practice can enrich teaching, learning and curriculum design.

I have extensive experience in the development, leadership and strategic evolution of undergraduate and postgraduate provision.
At Italia Conti, I led the development and expansion of online provision, including the creation, development and validation of three new Masters-level programmes:

+ MA Creative Arts Leadership
I also led work around the refinement and revalidation of the BA (Hons) Professional Arts Practice.

Through extensive experience of online and hybrid education, I have also developed a particular interest in how meaningful relationships, dialogue and a genuine sense of academic community can be created within digital learning environments.
Sector & Academic Development
In 2026, I was invited by QAA to contribute to the consultation supporting the redevelopment of the Level 7 Characteristics Statements within the UK Quality Code framework, providing professional insight into contemporary postgraduate education and higher education practice.
Alongside institutional work, I am interested in wider conversations around the future of vocational performing arts education, professional practice, online learning, creative leadership and the changing relationship between training and the creative industries.
